최근 헝가리에서 벌어지고 있는 상황은 유감스럽고 위험하다. 우리는 북한 정권이 암살 대상으로 삼은 인권 운동가들의 안전에 대해 극도로 우려하고 있다. 우리는 스페인 정부가 모든 관련자의 안전을 보장하고 그들의 생명에 대한 위험을 과소평가하지 않을 것을 촉구한다. 이는 가장 심각한 위험이다.

2019년 마드리드에서 발생한 사건은 오로지 민족을 구출하고 이들의 자유를 향한 안전한 이동을 돕기 위한 활동이었다.

이 명예로운 활동가들은 억압으로부터 사람들을 구하기 위해 막대한 위험을 감수했으며, 이미 수년간 은신하며 가족과 떨어져 고통을 받고 있다. 그들은 무고하며, 인도주의자로서 우리 민족을 돕기 위해 일했을 뿐이다.

우리는 대한민국, 미국, 스페인 정부가 김정은 정권의 적대적 의도로부터 이 인권 활동가들을 보호하고 이 비극을 시급히 해결할 수 있도록 도와줄 것을 촉구한다.

전 세계 곳곳에서 자유가 공격받고 있다. 자유로운 사회는 억압에 맞서 함께 일어나야 한다.

The recent developments in Hungary are unfortunate and dangerous. We are extremely concerned for the safety of those human rights activists among us that the regime in Pyongyang has targeted for assassination. We call upon the government of Spain to ensure the safety of all persons involved and to not underestimate the risk to their lives. These are most grave dangers.

The activities surrounding the incident in Madrid in 2019 were exclusively to rescue our people and facilitate their safe transit to freedom.

These honorable activists have taken great risks to save their people from oppression, and have now been suffering for years, underground and apart from their families. They are innocent, and have only worked as humanitarians to help their people.

We call upon the governments of the Republic of Korea, the United States, and the Kingdom of Spain to help protect these human rights activists from the hostile intentions of the regime in Pyongyang, and urgently bring about a resolution to this tragedy.

Freedom is under assault all over the world. Free societies must stand up against oppression together.
